Description:
Plate (soup). Made of enamelled and grisaille and gilded porcelain, with three branches of cherry blossom on the rim; diaper borders on the edge of the rim and in the well; the coat of arms in the centre; Maule Earl of Panmure quartering De Valonis, Barclay and Brechin beneath an earl’s coronet, “Per pale argent and gules a bordure charged with eight escallops counterchanged”; crest “A dragon vert from the mouth and tail fire issuing proper”.
