This painting was painted by Dai Chun, an old inscription writer, but its brush and ink are similar to those of Gong Xian, a painter in the early Qing Dynasty. Gong Xian (1599-1689 AD), a native of Kunshan, Jiangsu Province, lived in Qingliang Mountain, Nanjing. His painting style is based on Dong Yuan, and it is a self starter. It is one of the eight families in Jinling.
