The Brahma statue with a beard appearance of Arhat (i.e. Yingzhen, the Venerable One) is exaggerated, sitting on a rock, holding a bamboo stick and a scroll. The Venerable One is a disciple of Sakyamuni Buddha. He does not enter Nirvana, is not subject to the fruits of life and death, and is supported by all living beings. In the painting, the scholar holds a plum vase and inserts a broken branch of white plum, providing an image of vase flowers used for “religious flower offering”.
