- Description:
On the steep cliff, there is a cluster of green bamboos. Guanyin Bodhisattva leans on the boulder and looks down at the water thoughtfully. The painter used a few simple hooks to draw figures’ clothing patterns, and used calligraphy to draw bamboos, all of which are full of playful brushwork. The image of Guanyin in the painting is like a girl, which should be inspired by the content of “Pu Men Pin”. Although the painting has the title of Ke Jiusi, a famous bamboo painter of the Yuan Dynasty (1312-1365), the method of painting bamboo in the painting or the style of calligraphy of the title are different from Ke Jiusi’s, and it should be a work of later generations using his name falsely.
