Porcelain decorative panel or screen set in a wooden frame. There are high relief decorations of Shou Lao and the Eight Immortals standing on clouds, in biscuit on a ground of on-biscuit blue enamel on the front, and lotus sprays incised on green ground on the reverse.

The Eight Immortals are a combination of male and female historical and legendary figures, each identified by different costume and attributes. For example Zhong Liquan is recognised by his top knots and fan, Han Xiangzi plays a flute and Li Tieguai has a ‘grotesque’ face, walks with a crutch and carries a gourd.
