Description:
This pair of porcelain saucer dishes have rounded sides and stand on a low foot ring. They are decorated with an incised design, painted in aubergine and green enamel on a yellow ground showing two dragons fighting over a flaming pearl inside and outside with alternating stylised bats and clouds. The base bears an apocryphal six-character Jiajing reign mark (1522-66) in underglaze blue in a double ring.
