Description:
A priest’s / lama’s robe / cloak; floor-length; heavy. Made from pleated twill woven wool cloth, heavily fulled; two rectangular pieces, each made up of fifteen panels [circa 22 cms wide x 70 cms long], pleated onto deep collar/revers [21 cms wide]. (Pleats in body of robe maintained by threaded yarn.) Revers and hemline lined with yellow 2/2 twill woollen cloth. Red cloth unevenly dyed; dyed in the piece. (Two areas tie-dyed.)
