Octagonal plate. Coat of arms of Lane with Clarke in pretence.The family of Lane in a number of counties bore “Per pale azure and gules three saltires argent”; crest, “Two griffins’ heads, one gules the other azure issuing from a crescent or”. The coat in pretence is Clarke of Northampton, “Argent on a bend gules between three ogresses as many swans proper”. Made of enamelled porcelain.
