Description:
Stucco plaque showing the Buddha standing on a lotus throne and dressed with a red robe. The right hand is raised to the shoulder in the abhaya mudra (the gesture of no-fear), the left hand is holding the robe. The head with the elongated earlobes, the black hair and the protuberance is sourrounded by a green nimbus. The colours which were used to decorate the figure are still very vibrant, interestingly, the outlines of the eyes, lips and the third eye have been painted both in black and red.
