- Description:
Four petal Begonia shaped flowerpot, molded, with wide mouth, narrow hem and deep wall. There are still die impressions and six studs on the inner sole, and four cloud shaped feet are connected at the bottom. Green glaze is applied inside and outside. After burning, it turns into color, moonlight, with gray to beige. The inner rim and outer wall are covered with gray open pieces, with a few light colored patterns mixed locally. The foot tip is not glazed with ochre juice. Its shape is similar to that unearthed from the tomb of Liugong Temple in Zhangshu City, Jiangxi Province in the first year of Kaixi (1205) of the Southern Song Dynasty, which reveals that this shape can be traced back to at least the beginning of the 13th century. Similar works are also collected in the Palace Museum in Beijing. In addition, the glaze color, cloud head shaped feet and ochre juice coated feet of this exhibit are similar to the beige glaze basin holder in the British Museum and Shanghai Museum.
