  • Dynasty: Southern Song dynasty
  • Category: Jades
  • Function: Sacrificial vessels
  • Material: Minerals/Jade Jewelry/Jade
  • Description:
It is a light green jade that is not very uniform. It is carved into a very thin wall. The edges are dark brown. The middle hole is larger in proportion. There is a diagonal section on both sides, and a narrow edge of 0.12-0.3 cm is reserved on the hole edge and the wall edge. The device surface between the two narrow edges is crossed by three groups of parallel lines in different directions to form a grid like pu pattern. Because there is a large oblique section on both sides, the work of carving yin lines is also handled separately, resulting in obvious differences, and the parts near the edges are made more carelessly. Drill a small hole symmetrically on the left and right sides. It can be seen from the jade cliffs of the Southern Song Dynasty unearthed from Xilin Tower in Shanghai, Lanxi in Zhejiang Province, and Nanfeng Qincheng Town in Jiangxi Province that at that time, only geometric patterns such as grain patterns, cattail patterns, and milk Ding patterns were carved on the jade cliffs.
