The shape of the utensil imitates the bronze Gui. The mouth of the utensil is slightly oval, with a large belly, a flat bottom and a slightly high circle foot. The mouth and feet are worn and inlaid with copper edges. Two strings are decorated under the mouth. One dragon shaped ear is decorated on both sides of the abdomen. The ear is flattened to reveal a dark gray carcass. The fetal bone is thick, the whole body is covered with thick moistening green glaze, the glaze color is pink green, the glaze surface is full of ice cracks, and the thin edge glaze shows pink luster. During the Shaoxing period of the Southern Song Dynasty, the trend of thought to revive the culture of the Northern Song Dynasty was brewed by the government and the field, making Xuanhe Bogutou a model for rebuilding ritual instruments. As far as the influence was concerned, a kind of imitation bronze ware appeared in the official kilns of the Southern Song Dynasty, which is one of the examples. Similar artifacts were unearthed in the Tanxia official kiln site in the suburb of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, and in the Southern Song Dynasty Taimiao area.
