The flower mouth is washed, and the mouth edge is divided into six petals. The arc is inclined to the shallow wall. The bottom is shallow dug and the foot is laid. It is fired by the cushion firing method. The inside and outside are painted with blue glaze, which is gray green. There are traces of flowing glaze under the mouth, gray brown edges appear at the thin glaze along the mouth, gray brown patterns appear on the glaze surface, and dark color bodies are exposed at the foot edges. On the bottom is engraved the imperial poem of Emperor Qianlong’s “Chanting the Small Sunflower Bowl in the Official Kiln”, which reads: “Xuanhe is skillful in pottery, and he cultivates the imperial governor’s standing upright. It is said that the sunflower symbolizes loyalty and chivalry, and the generation of a sincere teacher will not bear the consequences”. At the end of the poem, “Qianlong Bingshen Xia Imperial Title” (the 41st year of Qianlong:. The poem reveals that Emperor Qianlong regarded this work as the official porcelain produced under the supervision of Xiunei Division in the Northern Song Dynasty, and the sculptural features of Liuhuakou made him think of sunflower growing in the sun. And then it is regarded as a metaphor with loyalty, showing that emperors appreciate ancient times
