Negative (black and white); A view southwards from the British Fort at Gyantse showing the the river that passed by close to the fort, which was situated some way outside Gyantse town. Whitewashed buildings can be seen in the distance with further buildings beyond to the foothills of the nearby mountains. Children can be seen close to the river bank. The raised soil in front of the fort marks the edges of the road leading towards the building and on into Gyantse. Tibet. Photographic process
