Description:
Porcelain ‘jue’ cup with underglaze blue decoration on a yellow ground. This ‘jue’ wine cup has three thin splayed legs, a deep round bowl brought to a pouring point at each end and two naillike struts on either side with a square side handle. It is delicately potted and decorated in underglaze blue with two dragons among clouds chasing a flaming pearl. During a second firing, surrounding the underglaze blue, yellow enamel has been added to the glazed porcelain body. The base carries a six-character underglaze blue Jiajing reign mark in a double ring.
