Description:
A porcelain jar with carved peonies beneath a green glaze. This large globular jar has deeply carved decoration of tree peonies alternating with foliage and in the lower register with stylized lotus leaves. It is covered inside and out with a thick olive-green glaze. A ring of glaze is wiped free inside for stack-firing a smaller vessel and has fired brick red. The neck is ground down.
