Comments:Text from Corrigan 2001:23: Weining county, Bijie Prefecture. Female festive costume. Short collared jacket with wide sleeves and attached cape, dating from the 1920s. The jacket is made of two narrow widths of hemp cloth, seamed at the back and sides. two decorative woven rectangles joined at the centre back form the cape. the sleeves are simple woven rectangles attached to the underlayer. The supplimentary wool patterning is woven on a hemp ground and further decorated with applied cloth.
