Period:Ming dynasty Production date:1400-1644

Comments:Mr Mori suggests this ink stone was made for the Japanese market at Jingdezhen at the end of the Ming dynasty. The orange colour appears to have been applied to the clay rather than arising naturally as it would have done at Longquan. The colour imitates Longquan wares. It is called 七官 Shichikan in Japanese.
