Description:
A groom’s hat? Large, circular cloth with appliqué. In the centre a large motif, akin to ying / yang symbol but three sections, red, green and brown colours (all made from tabby wool cloth with nap). Motif outlined with light blue (tabby) pink and yellow (satin) silk strips. Surrounded by blue band (brushed tabby (?) cotton (?)). Surrounded by natural cream tabby cotton cloth; outermost concentric circle made from brown woven (type?) cotton cloth. Scalloped-shaped flap (cream cotton, as before), with small appliquéd green wool triangle, stitched to edge. Lined with (unevenly dyed) blue tabby cotton cloth. All edges piped with dark blue silk (?) velvet cloth.
