Description:
Monk official’s hat / cap, worn whilst travelling; upturned brim covering crown with flat top. Crown made of overlapping yellow silk damask cloth, dividing it into eight segments. Padded (with cardboard?); brim covered with black wool woven cloth with a loop pile. Lined with red tabby cotton cloth. Red cotton plied ties.
