Description:
A groom’s hat. Large, circular cloth with appliqué. In the centre a large appliquéd motif, akin to ying / yang symbol but three sections, orange, green and black colours on a red wool ground (all made from tabby wool cloth with nap). Motifs outlined with white and light blue cotton yarns.. Surrounded by natural cream tabby cotton cloth. Rectangular flap (black twill woven cloth). Lined with (unevenly dyed) blue tabby cotton cloth that forms piping for top surface. Holes; rather dirty.
