• Description:
  Folding shoulder pot, short straight neck, sloping shoulders and sharp folds converge to the lower abdomen, with round feet, unglazed foot ends, and copper buckle ribs decorated at the mouth. A Xuan flower is decorated with flowers on the wall of the utensil. The strokes are fast and the lines around the abdomen are simple. A folding shoulder jar unearthed in Lingshan Village, Quyang, Hebei Province, is in the collection of Quyang Cultural Relic Institute. Its shape and decoration techniques are almost the same as those of this jar, and its mouth is unglazed. In the fifth year of Xianping in the Northern Song Dynasty (1002), similar shaped celadon and white porcelain folding shoulder jars have been unearthed from Li Zhen’s tomb in Jiujiang; However, from the point of view of the simple strokes of this instrument, the age may be delayed.
