Description:
This hollow figure is moulded in the form of a crouching hare with erect ears and staring eyes. It bears a giant lingzhi fungus on its back which forms an opening. The hare’s fur is indicated by tiny black enamel lines. The stalk of the fungus is now broken but would have been between the hare’s teeth. Both the hare and the lingzhi represent longevity.
