Close up view of pine trees, rocks, cliff caves and figures. Two Weng talk under Songyan, and two boys wave fans to cook tea. The square hard rock is chapped with a big axe, and sometimes with mud and water. The lines of pine twigs are rough and powerful. The water painting uses vortex patterns to outline its trend. The characters use the center to hook out the clothing patterns in a simple and elegant way. The original signature is Yan Su (991-1040), which should be a work of the Southern Song Dynasty influenced by Ma Xia. This picture is selected from the fourth volume of “Jiguang Zhenshou Book”.
