Comments:18th century: This figure is closely related to the shape of the original pebble. A large round head with hair in bunches rests on a voluminous robe that envelops the boy’s body, falling around his clasped arms and his legs, both of which are bent at the knee. The back and underside of the boy are also fully carved. In front and beside him are the following auspicious emblems: a basket, a peony, a ruyi sceptre and a gourd.
