Carved ivory figure of Kuixing, the god of examinations, standing on a turtle’s head with his left foot kicking towards the sky. He is depicted with large threatening eyes and a square mouth said to ward off evil and demons. He holds a writing brush in one hand and the other hand holds a tablet (?). Wooden base.
