Description:
‘Famille rose’ figure of a crane. The tall figure is elegantly modelled, its neck slightly curved to one side, perched on tall rockwork with one leg raised. The bird is painted in white on the white porcelain ground, with details for feathers incised through the enamel, and feathers at the top and bottom of its wings painted in contrasting turquoise and black, its crest raised in relief and enamelled in red, and the sockets of its eyes in yellow.
