- Description:
The mouth of the cup is slightly tilted, with a deep arc wall, a slightly convex bottom, and a shallow circle of feet. The mouth is large and the feet are small, forming a bamboo hat. The carcass is light and thin. The inner wall of the utensil is decorated with six intertwined chrysanthemums. The heart of the utensil is a molded chrysanthemum petal flower. The outer wall has no decorative patterns, but there are traces of casting. The inner and outer edges are surrounded by a shallow scribed pattern. The glaze is green with yellow color, transparent and shiny. The glaze is full of bright bubbles of different sizes. The glaze color is deep in the impression recesses, and the decorative patterns are particularly three-dimensional. The unglazed bottom foot is brown, and the exposed part of the body shows gray body soil. Although the ornamentation of the outer walls of these tea cups (Gu Porcelain 013974, Gu Porcelain 008726) are different, they were named “Two Tea Bells of the Palace Museum” in the Imperial Palace Articles Inspection Report (hereinafter referred to as the “Inspection Report”) issued by the Qing House Aftercare Committee in the 13th year of the Republic of China (1924). Since there is no old yellow label attached to the current collection, we do not know the origin of the Committee’s name
