Under the shade of flowers, the cat’s body arched slightly and its bright eyes stared at the palace? Blooming peony. Peony has a huge flower shape, fresh branches and leaves, and the combination of leaves and petals is appropriate, giving consideration to the front and back, positive and negative transitions. “Flower civet” refers to a cat with mottled patterns. The cat homophonic “Mao” refers to an elderly person over 70; Peony is the flower king of wealth, which means “longevity and wealth”. The painter describes the look and texture of civet cats with meticulous painting techniques, combined with magnificent flowers, which is quite in line with the refined taste of the court aristocracy. The painting style of this axis is neat and elegant. It was created by famous painters in the late Northern Song Dynasty.
