This drawing is described as: “4 Distant view of the City of Tong-tchou-fou, Before this city the passage of the Embassy up the river Pay-ho terminated, having travell’d 180 miles from its mouth in the Gulf of Pe-tche-lee, Peking lies 12 miles distant at which place the Embassy arrived (by land) on the 20.th of Aug.t 1793.”For further information about the album, see comment for 1865,0520.193.
