Yi Yuanji (about the second half of the 11th century) was born in Changsha, Hunan Province. Words of celebration. He is famous for his unique talent and good painting skills. At the beginning, he was specialized in flowers and birds. But when he saw the paintings of Zhao Chang (a famous painter of flowers and birds in the Northern Song Dynasty), he was very impressed. He thought that the only way to become a famous artist was to get rid of the old habits of his predecessors. So he went to Hunan and Hubei to search for wonders and visit the ancient times. He went deep into the Wanshou Mountains to observe apes and other things. After years, he finally got something. After his residence in Changsha, he once dug gardens and pools, kept waterfowl and animals, and observed their movements. Therefore, his paintings are very interesting and named after apes.
