Description:
Ru stoneware dish with rounded sides and everted rim. The dish has thick, translucent greenish-blue glaze with fine crackle. There are three small eliptical spur marks on the base.

Production of imperial-quality Ru wares ceased when the Northern Song court was forced by the invading Jin armies to flee their capital Bianjing 汴京 (modern Kaifeng 開封) in northern China and re-establish their government south of the Yangtze River 長江 in Lin’an 臨安 (today’s Hangzhou 杭州) in AD 1127.
