Description:
Porcelain dish of lotus flower form, with multi-lobed rim. The dish has light yellow enamel glaze over very thin plain glaze. There is a lotus seed pod in the centre, with two concentric wide bands of overlapping petals moulded on the interior, and a similar band of petals on the exterior. There is an inscription on the base, which is glazed.

Potters fired the dish twice, first at a porcelain temperature of around 1280 to 1320 °C and then in a second, lower-temperature firing to vitrify the lead-fluxed, iron-pigmented glaze.
