Porcelain dish. Decorated with incised dragon among clouds, painted with green enamel mainly on biscuit, partly over the glaze. Two similar dragons on the exterior, but with ground of incised waves. There is a mark on the base. Pair with A726.

This was covered in a wax resist and the dish was then dipped in clear glaze and given a high-temperature firing. The dish was then painted with green enamel on the biscuit areas but also over the clear glaze for details such as the dragons’ whiskers and flames. The base carries a six-character underglaze cobalt-blue Zhengde reign mark.
