Description:
Oval dish. Coat of arms of Brydges, Duke of Chandos, “Argent a cross sable charged with a leopard’s face or” quartering 2. “France and England within a bordure”, 3. Chandos, “or a pile gules,” 4. Bruce, “Or a saltire gules, a chief of the second”; impaling probably Gamon (incorrect), “Azure two chevrons between three legs couped at the thigh argent”, quartering another coat. The shield is surmounted by a duke’s coronet with the Duke of Chandos’s crest, supporters, and inscription; with blue border and inner chain border of blue and gold. Made of enamelled and gilded porcelain.
