Description:
Porcelain dish with impressed floral medallion and incised ribbed well beneath a green glaze. This large dish has rounded sides and a flattened rim with a raised edge; it stands on a low foot ring. The base is glazed apart from a ring for firing which has reoxidised red during the cooling process. The cavetto is scorred with lines suggesting petals and the centre is impressed with a lotus spray. It is covered with a blue-green glaze and outside is glazed but undecorated.

Comments:Harrison-Hall 2001:Seven similar examples to this dish are in the Ardebil shrine collection, suggesting that they were a common export type. Their robust bodies were ideally suited for long-distance transportation.
