Zhao Ji (1082 – 1135), the Huizong Emperor, was the eighth emperor of the Northern Song Dynasty. He was good at painting flowers and birds, and also good at poetry and calligraphy. During his tenure, he reformed the painting academy, edited Xuanhe Shupu, Xuanhe Pictorial Manual, Xuanhe Bogu Lu and other books, and created an example of recording collections.
