It is made of stone and dark grey. It is a rectangular handmade inkstone. The inkstone is surrounded by a frame, decorated with dragon patterns. The surface of the inkstone is slightly concave, and it descends to the ink pool. The back of the inkstone uses natural stone eyes to carve slender stone columns of different lengths, which form 28 constellations, including round Tianshui Double Dragon Seal, eight fold seal characters “Inner House Book Seal”, and the carved double couplets “Wu” and “Xing”. There are Qianlong poems and seals on the side wall of the inkstone head, which is stored in a red sandalwood inkstone box engraved with the same imperial poems.
