Li Cheng (AD 916-967), who lived here before the Tang Dynasty, avoided the land and camp hills. In this picture, snow peaks and cold trees are dotted with springs, empty pavilions and temples. The nameless painting was collected by Gao Shiqi in the early Qing Dynasty. The inscription of the year 1698 on the framed silk has the words “Xuanying Hill: a snowy picture after a peak in a quiet house”, which should be the origin of the painting name.
