  • Description:
Liu Songnian (active in 1174-1224 AD), a native of Qiantang, Zhejiang Province, was a student of the Xiaozong School of Painting in the Southern Song Dynasty, and a student of the Guangzong School of Painting. Huaisu, the sage of painting grass, wanted to write a book. Qian Qi, a bachelor, and Dai Shulun sat around the painting table. Tea is popular in the Tang Dynasty at court, scholar gatherings, or between monks in temples. Two waiters either cross the stool to chase the end, or hold a pot to pour tea. They are preparing tea to serve. The door of the pot is equipped with a clay painting table, and the feet are shaped as you wish. The round leg table with flat jaw and plain tooth head is added between the legs, and the tooth bar and tooth head are small, so as to increase the clamping surface with the legs and feet, and make the table more stable. The front leg bench looks simple, and it is a tool for daily life. The shape of the objects in this picture can be traced back to the Five Dynasties and the Song Dynasty, but the style of the characters is far from that of Liu Songnian.
