“Sui Shen” is an ancient merit; Or the official document appointing civil and military officials, which is similar in nature to today’s official orders, has credibility and can be used as a voucher for giving and receiving. In the first year of Yuanyou, Zhezong of the Northern Song Dynasty (1086), he appointed Sima Guang as the minister’s left servant and the servant of his family, that is, as the saying goes, the official worships the prime minister. This Prime Minister’s Declaration is made of gold colored damask, and the calligraphy still has the ancient style of the Tang Dynasty. It can verify the historical records and help to understand the system of official documents in the Northern Song Dynasty. As for Sima Guang’s portrait before the Gaoshen characters, it was added by later generations, not part of the original Gaoshen characters.
