Description:
The inkstone is rectangular and made of clear mud. It is yellow and light in color, light in weight and extremely meticulous. The Western Qing Inkstone Manual says that it is the best in clear mud. In the ink pool, there is a relief of a crouching dragon pattern, which has a vague feeling. The inkstone surface is deep where the ink is received, and the back of the inkstone is deep and shallow. Both sides of the front and back of the inkstone should be able to receive ink, and the whole body should be covered with ink rust. It should be something of the Song Dynasty without doubt. The inkstone wall is surrounded by a ring, and the Qing Emperor Gaozong’s Imperial Inscription is one. This inscription is also included in the Complete Works of Qing Emperor Gaozong’s Imperial Poems and Prose, Volume 40, Page 5-6, The inscription says, “The soil of Fenshui River is like the soil of Fenshui River, and the tile hand of Guinan leather is hard and ancient in color. The buckle is as clear as gold and stone, and its Xu rhyme is as melodious as the struggle of zither and zither. The coiled dragon is like a dragon rising in clouds and rain, and the inkstone is like the inkstone. It is dedicated to Maoqin, Huan Khan is big, and the name is Huan Jade House. The common people are almost blameless.” The title of the article is “The Imperial Inscription of Qianlong Wushu”. The first seal is: “A few moments before the lake”. According to “Wushu”, it is “the 43rd year of Qianlong”, 1778 AD.
