Description:
This small porcelain bowl has rounded sides and stands on a foot ring. It is decorated in famille rose enamels with an assortment of household objects which suggest leisurely pursuits. These are a basin on a stool containing peaches and citron; a table with a book and a brush pot; a Tibetan wine ewer; a vase containing branch coral and a quiver and arrow on a stool; an Artemisia leaf; a weiqi table and counter containers; plum blossom in a vase; a penjing; cards marked with two and three dots respectively. Around the rim is a border of key fret and around the foot stylised lotus lappets. The base has a four character mark in iron-red within a double square.
