Description:
Porcelain bowl with impressed design beneath a green glaze. Similar to BM 1927.0714.2, this example has high rounded sides, is heavily potted and stands on a straight foot ring. It is moulded in the centre with a goat and three groups of two figures and with indistinct inscriptions in the cavetto. Impressed above the figural scenes is a key-fret band; a further key-fret band is around the outer rim. The bowl is covered with a pale crackled green glaze; the foot is glazed and the base unglazed with a dollop of glaze in the centre.
