Cao Xun, the minister of the Southern Song Dynasty, once compiled the legend of Ruiying before the Emperor Gaozong ascended the throne. There were 12 sections in total. Xiao Zhao, the painter of the Academy, drew a picture. They are respectively “Birth and Nurturing Golden Light”, “Showing Benevolence and Dreaming God”, “Riding and Shooting and Lifting Bags”, “Gold Camp Envoy”, “Four Saints’ Protection”, “Cizhou Visiting the Temple”, “Huang Luo Throwing Son”, “Chasing Teachers and Retreating”, “Shooting the Platform”, “Shooting the White Rabbit”, “River Ice”, and “Taking off Your Robe to See Your Dream”.
