Porcelain bowl with underglaze blue, overglaze green and ‘kinrande’ decoration. This shallow bowl has rounded sides with an everted rim and a recessed base. It is decorated in underglaze blue inside with a double ring medallion encircling a crane flying among four ‘ruyi’ clouds. Overglaze green covers the well with four gold lotus blooms with feathery leaves applied on top in ‘kinrande’ style. Outside it is painted with a repeated motif of a bird perched on a fruiting branch. Possibly the tree bears peaches. The base has an underglaze blue coin mark which reads ‘Chang ming fu gui’ [Long life, riches and honour].
