Qian Xuan (about 1235-1307 AD) was born in Wuxing, Zhejiang Province. Shunju was named Yutan. He is good at painting and calligraphy. He is one of the “Eight Beauties of Wuxing” with Zhao Mengfu. This picture shows two peaches on a peach branch, and a squirrel perches on the branch and wants to steal it. The pen is round and strong, as thin as gossamer, and the color is elegant. The squirrel’s vivid and innocent manner is vividly on the paper.
