In the first year of Emperor Yongtai of the Tang Dynasty (A.D. 765), Huihe and other ministries led a large army to invade. Guo Ziyi (697-781) was ordered to guard Jingyang, outnumbered by others. When Huihe heard that the duke wanted to see him, Ziyi removed his armor and led dozens of cavalry straight into the enemy’s front. Seeing his great chieftain, Huihe felt his loyalty and bravery and gave up his troops to worship.
