  The water is murmuring in the valley. Five travelers pull up their pants and wade across the river one after another. The trees behind them are withered and yellow, and the back ridge is surrounded by mountains. The scene is more profound. The old one was written by Zhao Gan. Zhao Gan, a native of Jiangning (now Nanjing) in the Southern Tang Dynasty, was a student of Li Houzhu (reigning from 961 to 975)’s School of Painting, and his landscapes were mostly Jiangnan landscapes. However, the shape and other details of this tree seem to be related to the late Ming Blue Ying, so it should be made in the late Ming Dynasty
