Bottle with a flapping mouth, a slender neck, a long round belly, and rounded feet. White glaze is applied both inside and outside the bottle. The carcass is light and thin. Painted with underglaze multicolored flowers and birds in elegant colors. The outsole is printed with a blue and white regular script “Hunan Porcelain Industry Company in the third year of the Xuantong reign of the Qing Dynasty”, with green and colored double circles around the periphery
Hunan Porcelain Industry Company was founded in Hunan by Xiong Xiling (1870-1937) in the 32nd year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1906). In the modern history of porcelain making in China, the underglaze multicolored porcelain from the Liling kiln in the late Qing and early Republic of China reached a high level in terms of production technology and decoration, which can be regarded as a wonderful work in the ceramic art field.
